Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and is a competitor within the UFC flyweight division. She's older than her fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as an Muay Thai boxer. Her debut was in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko took home another medal in 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008 and a gold medal in 2011 and won as the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia started her professional career in with her debut in 2003. She was the winner of the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight in 2012 and The Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at her fight at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a an unanimous vote. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's striking skills were superior and enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight following her first fight via an unanimous decision. Antonina recovered from the loss to beat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn as well as Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights.
