Keira Knightley
Knightley, born in London within the families of actors Will Knightley & Sharman Macdonald as young as six years old began her career in television commercials and films. In 1999, she played Sabe as Sabe in Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Following her international success through the fantasy TV series Pirates of the Caribbean in 2003, as Elizabeth Swann (a swashbuckling footballer), she was able to appear in the sports film Bend It Like Beckham in which she portrayed the teen. The romance film Love Actually (2003) and was called a promising teenager actor. As the character she played, Elizabeth Bennet in the period romantic comedy Pride & Prejudice (2005), Knightley was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. As well as Atonement as a character, she acted as Georgiana Cavendish and the main character in The Duchess and Anna Karenina's main socialite. Her work also included contemporary dramas. Begin Again, (2013) was a role for her as an aspiring singer and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, (2014) saw her as a medical student. Knightley returned to historical films playing Joan Clarke in The Imitation Game (2014) which earned her a nomination for The Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, and starred as the writer whose name is Colette (2018).
