Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. She started her career in support roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). She later played reporter Willa McPherson on the FX series Dirt and had a supporting part in the short-lived show The Ex List. She played Kaylee an infant Moira on the very first season of on FX's American Horror Story. She voiced Jessie Anderson's character on the AMC series The Walking Dead. Sophie played her character in the NBC series This Is Us. She also voices characters from Family Guy's animated comedy. Since 2019, she has starred in the role of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien in Connecticut. She relocated to California with her mother when she was of 10. They moved around for one year before finally settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge began to be interested in singing, acting, and photography around the age of 13. Breckenridge moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was just 15 years old to pursue her acting career.
